I saw Slumdog Millionaire this afternoon. It was a really good movie. If this sounds stilted, it’s because I’m not quite sure how I feel after seeing it. Without a doubt it’s a very well made film – the acting, music, plot, etc. all come together beautifully. It broke my heart, a little bit. The acting, especially from the children, is excellent. I’m glad we saw SM versus any of the other movies out right now. It makes everything else seem extra shallow. Except maybe Valkyrie. And Doubt. OK. It makes a few other films seem extra shallow.
